the paper heart
to two
a quiet symphony
and it's constant ripping
in my head
the butcher's knife
that chopped ankles to half
I stumble and i fall
I can't walk I crawl
The dead black skin cells
left on the floor
scratched and falls
more and more
The paper heart shreds
along with it
littering the path of before
with beautiful memories that haunt
which were but the past
Taunting with its understatements
that no more would ever be the same
as previously
a brutal scissors
I want
to tear and slash the future
that promises constant reminders
of the past but
past present future
which one hurt the most
I almost can't tell
but they are all painful
painful by themselves.
