My lover had said goodbye
I felt like I wanted to break down and cry
As the memories flood my mind, I sit down and sigh
I ask myself over and over, why?
When I know I’m going to be the one left out to dry
So why even try?
Should I just standby?
While every couple are looking so goo goo eyed

Why do I have this feeling I’ll just be denied?
Maybe I seem to just only rely
On my guy
But I need see life
On my own
That I may not have really known
I really need to outgrow
This need for love always
You know what they always say
“Live life to It’s fullest”
With or without a lover

I watched everything pass me by
