The violence surfaces,
the anger, the hate and the pain.
I think it is time to leave you be.
I no longer want to play your game.

There’s nothing left here to amuse me.
You somehow took it one step too far.
The shrapnel of your indifference
only deepens all of my scars.

The panic, the darkness,
the void you cannot fill.
The times you’ve promised to come around.
Well, guess what?
I am waiting for you still.

Torn to pieces by your apathy.
You have no sense of self.
And your constant state of denial
is not something on which I’d like to dwell.

So, goodbye to you dear.
I hope you fare well.
You’re an empty vessel
Vacant and numb
Without a story to tell…
