The pathway to the light nor dark.
You cannot tell since it is invisible to see.
To my peers, my friends, family,
anyone.
Even to me.
I kept walking until something caught
my eye.
A rose.
I picked it up and acknowledged it's beauty.
I put my fingers higher on the stem and
the thorns had stung me so I dropped it
like something falling from the sky.
My fingers, bleeding like never before.
I looked at the rose with such hatred.
Amazing how something so little
can cause so much pain.
The pain to a person or to a heart.
