Cutting the curtain that plagues
Burning, so I do not extinguish
Trying to find an answer in a veil of tears
My toil leaves me tired
And this life is all for naught

Bless me with a sneering happiness,
But forget to ask the question
Why should I put on a veneer
Of happiness and blissful smiles
When my teeth chatter with pain
And my laughter is a hollow sound?

Favoured with insomnia
That only intensifies the ache
My hands are covered in blood and guilt
The blood sprayed on the wall
Is (not) mine
And I only wish you were

Purge the memories from my soul
Cutting the curtain that plagues
Burning, so I do not extinguish
Trying to find an answer in a veil of tears
