Centre-alignment
Is there any way to post poems so that they are left-aligned instead of Centre-aligned? It's just that i've been experimenting with the structure of my poems lately and putting words in different places. I can do this on Word just fine, but when I post it on here it just aligns it all centrally and the arrangement of words is lost.
So essentially I'm not being able to present my poems in the same way as they appear in the finished document on my PC.
Any help on this issue would be appreciated.
best wishes,
Phil
Re: Centre-alignment
Use this tag:
Code: :
<p align="left>Enter poem</p>
You can use the same tag for right align too.
Re: Centre-alignment
Philly, that code doesn't seem to work for regular members anymore. I know,
I've tried it several times myself. When I was a premium member it worked,
but now that I'm not, it won't.
I don't know if it's a glitch or whatever, but it's definitely not working.

Re: Centre-alignment
Oh , btw phil, I meant to mention as well, for some reason
this system doesn't seem to recognize spaces. So if you have
a line where it is indented, it won't show when you post.
Frustrating, I know.

Re: Centre-alignment
Have you remembered to put the " and " into the html? Otherwise, I don't know.
I knew about the spaces, Jarred once devised a way to do it, so it was ok, but I can't remember how.
Re: Centre-alignment
Yes, I put the quotations in.
2 It still didn't work hun.
Yes, I remember Jarred told Snemmy how to do it. I think it had to do with
using periods and a code to change the colour of the periods so they blended
with the background and looked like they weren't there.
(so much work! lol

Re: Centre-alignment
Hmm. Oddness. Sorry I can't help hun.
Yeah, I think so. It does seem a lot of work, doesn't it.
Man...I miss Jarred..
Re: Centre-alignment
omigosh, me TOO! Actually I was just talking the other day about
people on here I miss. I wish they weren't gone.

Re: Centre-alignment
Me too.
I still talk to Jarred, at least. We email every so often.
I miss everyone else, though. Stitch, especially.
Re: Centre-alignment
I know what you mean hun. I'm closer to some of the people
on here than I am to people IRL.
sorry phil. Didn't mean to take over the thread.

You may have to PM mick or Daniel with this information though,
since the code doesn't seem to be working. In fact, I think there
is a thread somewhere for reporting that stuff, isn't there philly?

Re: Centre-alignment
Is there a way to make the font smaller, larger, etc. In other words, a way to control the size of the font?
Re: Centre-alignment
Not that I've found. Sorry, Timmy.
Re: Centre-alignment
poo-poo
*pouts*
Re: Centre-alignment
Just thought I'd let you know that I did find of a way to control the font size by happening upon a thread between Daniel and Andrew. I personally did not like the effect after I tried it but this is what seemed to work.
Code: :
<font size="_"></font>
