don't seem to be getting any comments..
The first stuff i put on this site got me quite a few really interesting comments and I guess I became a bit of an addict to reading others poems posting comments and getting them..Now I have posted about 3 and no reply for a few days at least. Have I done something un pc? Or perhaps over critisised someone's work who was especially sensitive. If i have done it was meant only in a constructive way and I welcome any helpful suggestions for improving my poems if at all poss. Maybe I just got over confident and the last 3 are kindov not so good... anyhow this is hardly a bit deal but I thought I'd raise it...

Hey supercreep- I dont know, I can only speak for myself here but I usually only comment on poems that I really like or REALLY dislike. If it doesn't stimulate any feeling in me whatsoever I just think " ehh.. whatever" and move on to the next. I guess just keep trying, eventually you will strike a chord with someone but keep in mind poetry should be written for yourself and it really doesn't matter what others think. I know I have come across many poems that were getting really great comments that I thought were mindless coffee-house drivel. So it's all in the eye of the beholder, while it's sometimes fun and interesting to hear what others think, whether you are happy with it or not is what really matters. Just my humble, un-educated, amateur opinion.

Keep posting and sharing as well and reading and commenting.
There are times when many people may be on the site but are off
in the forums or playing games and not writing or reading.
I doubt you did anything that made someone mad.

To me the number of reads is more important than the number of comments..
even though we like comments.

The best way to get more comments, is to give more comments. Look for people like Silent-No-More and Breezy who have thousands upon thousands of comments. Thoughtful, heartfelt comments will encourage reciprocation, and the more you comment the more people will give you comments.
