Meet the NEW poets on this site!
Yes, they come and go. So what.
Looky, I'm still here.
That says it all.
What if someone said hey, here's someone new
who is reading and posting, and seems to have real
aspiratrions and ambitions. Just take a look
at their stuff and let them know they're welcome...
and you're not afraid that they might be more
accomplished than you, have more ambition,
are more original--even a trailblazer.
Someone destined to make a name for themselves.
Sure there are alot of new poets who are
very amateurish. Some are good, some are
very good. But I appreciate the enthusiasm
and desire of many to make something of themselves
as poets.
And I believe they will.
Introduce one new poet on the site to the rest of us.
Just someone who's getting it done. Not necessarily a clone
who also loves Hello Kitty and writes about cutting.
Meet cuddlytiger17, my first pick.
She was on another site where they were jerks and came here.
I think they were jerks because:
If their poetry is not going to get recognised why should hers?
That kind of selfishness is easily perpetuated.
Especially by creative types.

I'll recommend 'Busy Bees And The Filthy Ground', as well as the rest of their poems, since they're relevant and well-constructed, containing metaphors and allegories that I wish I had written. However - Sub does need to comment more. *nods* Come on Sub. You can do it...

Ohhh! I like this idea! We have some great talent coming through the door lately!
I've already discovered Cuddlytiger and have already declared myself a fan! (Should you have any doubt, check out my post in the Best Poem of the Day forum and/or my rave on her Don't Say You Understand)
I don't yet know Subgenius, but on Neptune's recommendation - I'll check out their work as well.
AND... I've got another new poet to recommend. Also new to us this month is Hopeless_Romantic. Yesterday, I lost my breath for a second when I read her You Kissed Me! It is exquisite. For more than one reason, I WISH with a passion that I had written it. Have a look...

I'm new here. I have been writing since about 1985 after the loss of my dog (believe it or not) and that is what got me started. I have since put pieces together, but have no formal training in doing this type of thing, so don't expect too much "class" (LOL). Thank you (in advance) for checking out my works.

hello , im kinda new as well. I've been kind of a closet poet. I dont really let people read my stuff cause its embarrassing hehe. But im slowly starting to come around. I guess mostly cause im not that good at it yet, but i love to express myself through writing. I look forward to learning the tricks of the trade from the people on these forums, as theres alot of talented people on here. So thanks for hearing me out, and i look forward to reading and writing as much as i can on this site.
