Don’t ask a man if he needs help. The answer will always be the same.
Just get in there and start handing him tools.

If you know he’s putting it together wrong, be quiet and hold the flashlight.

If you ask a man to stop the car for directions, he hears:
“Let’s stop and tell a bunch of strangers how incompetent you are!”
Treat the scenic route as an adventure. An hour late is a small price to let him be your hero.

About projects: To women, men are a distraction. To men, women are an audience.

Men don’t do chores; they do challenges. That’s why they assemble things without reading directions , and take the garbage out in the dark.

Why do men get defensive when they make mistakes? Its damage control. Intended to reassure you that you can still trust his leadership. Go figure.

Shopping: It is far better to say “Can you find the horseradish?” than to say “Go get the horseradish. ” Men are not go-fers, they are problem solvers who rise to a challenge.

When you’ve had a bad day, ask for a backrub. He may be awful at backrubs, but he wants to be necessary, and it frustrates him when he can’t rescue you.

Women cook. Men barbecue. The risk of controlling an open fire without burning the house down makes cooking a satisfying and heroic experience. Fire is play to the guys. Like bubblewrap and helium. And men men make the best chefs.

Flattery: Men dont think of themselves as cute. If you want to pay a compliment, comment on a decision he has made; like the tie he chose to wear. Guys prefer to earn their recognition.

Don’t just praise him in private. Tell everyone while he is standing there blushing.
Women will admire him. Men will envy him, and you/'/ll go to a lot more social events.

Don/'/t ask if he loves you. He/'/s been hard at work trying to be necessary, and you have just told him that you haven/'/t noticed.

If he ever has to defend you, get out of his way.

Don’t complain about how he loads the dishwasher. Help him while he’s doing it. Men love to learn; they just hate being taught.

If you need to have a serious conversation with him, go for a walk. Its less confrontational than face to face, and you both have a vested interest in going in the same direction.

This was very funny Jaye, but sadly very true.. lol
It reminds me of our greatest generation and how relationships were back in the day.

But all is not lost. Today we have the "Hybrid Male"
Boomers like myself who prefer practicality and precision over ego. If I am a screw up, call me out and take over the ship and we will both be happy. I prefer to be chauffeured around and if I/'/m lost and you know the way- that is great. I don/'/t like wasting time and getting lost.

A lady I once knew was looking to be a power couple. I really get it. Meaning we both put forward our strengths and move forward. Nobody wants to watch a sporting event with a bunch of so-so players put into the wrong positions. That is a DC trick :)

I am easily embarrassed if I am bragged about in public. I don/'/t like it and it to me is so trivial it should be something done in private. But what you say is absolutely true with most men I know.
They love to be catered to and babied. Not my cup of tea.

If you can do something better than me lets switch jobs or chores. I live in a world of reality and don/'/t like wasting time or butchering a project. And if a woman is highly successful, nobody is more thrilled than me. Even if they are far more successful than me.

But as I read this it was so true but at the same time a bit pathetic. We don/'/t need any more snowflakes in this world.... lol

This was great!
