I wonder where anger comes from so swiftly? It has a life of its own.
It begins outside, detached. And from the fewest words seen or heard, it flares within uninvited; a verdict without a trial.
There is no time for a jury to validate the fire that rages unbidden.

And when it is spent, curiously it is unresolved, waiting to prove itself again. Looking for release.
We are keen to make war on our favorite enemy, and we know it when we see it!
It is frustratingly familiar to us in friends, strangers, lovers, books and song.

The more we embrace it; the more it owns us.
No matter how validated our anger, how thoroughly we win, or how often, we awaken on the same battleground over and over.
Time and tears bring a fortunate few to discover that the true enemy is not out there; but deep within and well disguised.

It lies in the injustices we have all endured in our past, real or perceived.
Unable to act against them, the unfairness of those experiences lingers unresolved.
They become who we are.
They are the wrongs we so easily recognize in all their external disguises.

We are compelled to fix them. And the more we are drawn to them, the more of our childhood struggle they contain.
Our best hope is to face the mirror; to visit again the rooms we have locked behind curtains of someday.

The anger is pain; the battle, denial.

There is only one cure, and it is bitter. We must somehow find a way to forgive the wrongs. Our demons must have full benefit of a jury trial and our compassionate permission to have existed in their time.
We must find it in our hearts to gift ourselves with a kinder history, or spend our lives doing battle with ghosts.

You have expressed a feeling that we all experience and described it in a way that makes a person stop and think about what it means. I like your thoughts on dealing with anger. Forgiveness. Anger causes stress and stress kills. Excellent write my friend.

It all comes with age hence live and let live.
The older I get the more I let go no matter the circumstances. Live and let live. Don/'/t let the perceived
bad moments of your existence define you. Great writing!!!
