Topic: grief

“Open up your mind and listen to your heart, Are we really that different, must we be apart? “ Two paths going down two different roads, Two people combine to conceive one new soul, Patience the key, looking towards a future to be, Touch by humility, souls set free, Only 15 and pageant with only questions leaving you empty, Two years into high school, thinking this one would be true, Used by a boy with devious plans, lies your heart couldn’t understand, The sweet nothings in your ear, you thought he really cared, So you gave him your most sacred thing, thinking your love would last an eternity, The pain you endured as he entered in, but washed away by the feelings within, A month later nature didn’t come, so you got tested and awaited the outcome, The test came back but you already knew, now what in the world are you going to do, You’re not ready, nether is he, but you confront him and this is what he did, Denied the fact it was his, and disrespected you in front of his friends, You’re heartbroken, trying to catch your breath but end up choking, Now you’re all alone, thinking there is no way out so you run away from home, Living on the streets, no roof over your head, no food to eat, While he plays football, and decides what college he’ll attend next fall, You’re in search of help, so you turn to drugs in hope you’ll lose yourself, Turning tricks just to pay the rent, He smiles for the cameras on the campus he picked; all the while your body becomes sick, He has a full ride and you… your just trying to survive……………

As he relaxes in his dorm room he tosses back another miller lite, It’s raining outside as you sleep beneath a streetlight, His dreaming of that NFL contract, while you dig for food fighting off the rats, Your belly is getting bigger, while he’s next door at a friend’s kegger,
You meet an older man, who says he’ll take you in as long as you have sex with him and his friends, not knowing what to do you accept the offer, at least his bed is softer, He has his first game, gets chopped block and is never the same, His career over, I guess life has a way of making you sober,
Angry at life so he drinks himself into a stupor, and decides to go buy more liquor, Driving down a dark road, he didn’t see the tight turn and so his car rolled, DOA is what the police say, intoxicated at the time, the car rolled at least three times, While you were lying in the bed, you didn’t do the dishes so he strikes you in the head,
You are too weak to defend yourself; all you can do is cry for help, Again and again the man hits you, holds you down while him and his friends rape you, An hour later you wake up under a bridge, naked and bleeding, left weeping, Again you have been used, lied to and abused,
You cry the rest of the night, the morning light will be a sore sight, Feeling so empty, like you are your own worst enemy, You look at what you feel is a pathetic life, holding your face beneath the moonlight, She find a large piece of broken glass take it across her throat and gasped.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom
