"Lo! The attention span is very short!”-
These words enunciated Socrates,
It’s him that speaks, not me, - he can afford
To point out facts that are too obvious.

They will not sing of heroes, but forget
To pay due tribute of enduring worth,-
For martyred innocents that lost their head;
This grieves the heavens and the planet earth.

But I shall sing and none can silence me,
And those refusing song are empty shells,
Thus let me sing of heroicity
And blow the trumpet and ring all the bells.

And here we go:

Fabrizio Quattrocchi

Fabrizio Quattrocchi, Hero Hail!
Assassinated by thug murderers,
And coward kidnappers, you did not quail
Before the barbarous bandits in their lairs.
Jewel you are! - Italia be proud!
Remember evermore his martyrdom!
A Martyrdom before the world that showed
Heroic bravery's piaculum.

No deal, no truce with devils, lo! - no deal!
Who deals with devils will come to regret
The bargain, with the monsters shrill and chill,
Malheur who falls into the devil’s net
Fabrizio Hail! for you did boldly stare
Into their murder eyes and did defy,
And asked your barbarous executioners
To save the hood and look into your eye!

And you dear Alice sweet of Genoa,
Your friend showed how Italian heroes die!
He won’t forget you, nor Italia,
But send his blessings forth from heaven high.
Lord God please make the brave Fabtizio
Protector of his land and of his kin,
Be proud Italia and bow low
Before your Fabrizio, your son AMEN!

Fabrizio was the Italian hostage executed by terrorists. He tore the hood off and asked his executioner to look him into the eye.

Margaret Hassan,
A Second Mother Teresa -
Named Angel of Compassion
Director of CARE
Dedicated her life to help Iraqis

Brave Margaret Hassan kidnapped by the ghouls
Pleads weeping for her life, the world could see.
A captive of the monsters with no souls,
That hit the bottom of depravity!
She toiled to help Iraqis in their plight,
Helped build the hospitals of charity,
But was abducted from her working site
By representatives of infamy.

Lo! Al Jazeera networks take great pride
To show the tapes of her captivity,
Her terror, and her dread, - and take delight,
To show the saintly woman's agony..
A network that contaminates, befouls,
Infects with craven broadcasts fiendishly,
Serves as the tool ideal for the ghouls,
To wreak their bottomless depravity..

Their hapless victim, - saintly Margaret,
Kidnapped by deputies of infamy,
Who grin and threaten to slice off the head
Of Iraq’s paragon of charity.
Bards write of autumn glory, kids and feasts,
On nature’s marvels, trees and Halloween,
But trembling Margaret somehow they missed,
And missed her pleading eyes on TV’s screen.

How will not emphasize with her and pray!
For her who kept Iraqis clothed and fed,
Now tortured by the ghouls about to slay
The head and chief of CARE - sweet Margaret

(Margaret Hassan has since been executed)

Paul Johnson

Inhuman cowardice - Paul Johnson too-
A man for whom no labor was too tough
Another one that now the world can view
As nightmare vision with the head cut off.
Paul Johnson, peace and glory onto you!
Prey of the viper brood spawned forth from hell.
Oh martyr, veritable, proven true!
Let cantors chant for you and ring the bell.

What lonely death you suffered Paul, dear Paul!
To sit blindfolded ’mongst the terror horde;
What dread and anguish must have filled your soul,
Your sacrifice to glorify the Lord!
Glib Mullahs and sly Imams don’t speak up,
Their voices mum. tongue-tied,- can not be heard,
While horrors are committed by their flock.
The clerics have to murder thugs deferred.

Recite, declaim with zeal from the Koran,
But turn a blind eye to atrocity,
Neglect to use authority to ban
And to denounce their subjects’ savagery.
Custodians of their faith, that perhaps nod,
And in the cockles of their hearts agree-
Attractive and appealing is a God,
That does permit crime with impunity.
.
They ’r tutoring a flock, but don’t forbid,
Nor check the terrorists’ abysmal hate,
Defiling and debasing thus their creed,
Assassin butchers shouting:” Allah is great!”
Apocalyptic Nightmare Acolytes!
That grinning on pale lurid horses sit,
To spew forth chaos and extinguish light,
And usher in the darkness of the pit.

How many more beheadings hold in store
For us the fiends or bombers homicide?
And nightmares horrid, oh how many more?
Of stomach-curdling views and deadly blight
Pray to the Lord, pray, pray, lest by surprise
The fiends with foul assistance have their way,
And reach their goal,-- our legacy’s demise,
Protect us from such evil Lord we pray!

Nick Berg

Oh Nick! dear Nick you are a victim too,
Of the masked varmints' bestiality!
And viewers shaking at the dreadful view
Feel what they see is not reality.
So very young and handsome are you Nick!
There sitting on a seat in in grip of dread,
Masked ghouls surround you,- shadows malefic
That will saw off with blunted blades your head.

Your countenance speaks dread and agony.
Who ‘mongst the many viewers emphasize,
With your ordeal Nick sufficiently,-
Mere shivering revolt does not suffice.
Garbed in red-orange quietly you sit,
What horror in your heart Nick you must feel?
The viewers watch and view dispirited
While down their spine run shivers’ icy chill..

Journalist Daniel Pearl

Outrageous murder of a Journalist,
The horrifying killing in cold blood,
Another victim of the terrorists.
A man like him for our earth too good.
He too fell victim of the force of hell,
In spectacle for all the world to see,
This brilliant journalist, named Daniel,
Him too a victim of atrocity.

A journalist, whose only mission was
To give voice to a trod-down voiceless mass,
Thus, stumbling stone for agents of the pit,
His life, - and so they made an end of it.
Reporter keen, musician sensitive,
Builder of bridges, savvy, wise and learned,
For whom his beneficiaries grieve,
And who for freedom of the trod-down yearned.

His babe, yet to be born, and see the light,
His shuddering- beloved spouse must see,
Behold the horror, paralyzed with fright,
The processes of the atrocity.
Lo! by a blunted butcher knife he fell,
His head sawed off by minions of hate,
Mephitic vermin ghouls spawned forth from hell,
That make our planet foul and desolate.

O Daniel, - of our Sacred Writ!,
Oh Daniel great prophet you of yore!,
Call forth the savage creatures from the pit,
And let apocalyptic lions roar!

I dedicate this song to martyrs Five
To make it known that they are not forgot
And further victims, - that may lose their live,
Be crowned as martyrs by Almighty God!

I missed some heroes in above galore
Of sainted martyrs, - I regret deplore!
These latter martyrs too are now at Home,
And hold in hands the palm of martyrdom.

Jack Hemsley - beheaded
and KimSun-il - beheaded
and also Eugene Armstrong - beheaded
and others more.

(innocent civilians working on a reconstruction program)

Two more we lost - "In Action Butchered" both
Lo! Tucker Thomas and Menchaca Christian
Two excellent and most devoted men
by the fiendish butcher knife "In Action" fell
Slow butchering death, DNL alone could tell.
About the horror's full extent
The hapless victims underwent.
But Media milk the Abu Grabi Tale,
And in reporting often fail
And trivialities report
Instead of crimes that cry up to the Lord.

Elizabeth, A most fitting tribute to these souls. They not have died in vain.
May we never forget them or any lost to terrorism.

Elizabeth

Your story of these indivuduals is horrid and sad. None deserved to die as they did and so brutaliy in the name of religon..
" What religon supports the killing of inocents"
I am sicken by these events in Iraq and other places."it only breads more hatered"
This story should be sent to major papers around the United states,Canada Europe etc etc.....
The quillatine was outlawed because of its crulity and these beheadings are no better than that---"The world should be crying out,but where are the cries ? Except against the United States whos only goal is to help these peoples be truly free.
I hope and pray we stay there until these peoples can freely rule themselves.
I was sorly touched again by your story "may God have mercy"

I am not all that versed in politics, I only know my heart and the Lord. This is so hard to take, such pain, sickness. It may become more difficult dealing with these cruel hatred groups. If we decrease the size of our deployed military forces it would be even more of a disaster. We must not withdraw, or limit our mission which would make it more disastrous. My prayers go out to all those who stood up for our Dear Lord, who they trusted and loved with all their might.

Elizabethy, here is my open prayer. I do not hate, I do not share hate, and this prayer is not to be looked upon as me taking a part in hatred. I worship, pray to God to help us all out in this world..

Dear Lord I pray publicly, community wise, nation wise, world wide, help us win, to defeat this evilness, this hateful war on violence and I pray we can deal better with a more effective strategy to deal with those groups, jihadists, including Quaeda, and all others who live in darkness, who have irrational minds and hearts. I pray for those individual that carry hate in their hearts will be taken care of by you dear Lord. I am not going to call it a holy war, because it is as far from holiness as one could ever get, such contradictions dear Lord, please, hear my prayer, end this worldwide terrorism, these global threats from these groups who have no rational minds or love in their hearts, and using your name as a part of their campaign does not make this a holy war, even though, religion is of their driving force. I will continue to try to spread my faith wherever I can, pray for all, christians and non-christians until I have no more breath. I pray with my prayers I can help reduce and rescue this hate that pollutes our world. Dear Lord, recall when they beat and hung you for blasphemous acts? And now look at them Lord, you can see them, how hatred souls are so cruel, killing believers, just as they have been doing all along. Still, the bitter fighting, brutalizing and slaughtering.

In ancient times, you dear God was the authority, the bible tells me so. I pray you once again give direct instructions and orders to help our world out, before we destruct your beautiful world and all of us in it. My tears fall from my eyes Lord, let my cry and all other who cries with me be seen by you and your Word given to us Lord will help our soldiers of God attack the enemy of hate. I pray Dear Lord in your name, that my prayer is your will. Yes Lord, it is your will, It is you God, the will of God.

Thank you dearest Elizabeth, and to all of those who fall victim to this most ugly and despised hatred, this cruel, cruel war and massacres.

Raquel Leah sends you much love dear Elizabeth

Elizabeth,

It is a very good song, even though it talks about the beheaded. It is very hard for me to know that kind of thing but i always know that the Lord will help. It's not very fair that the people who get beheaded were just trying to do the right thing. But that's exaclty what's happening, even though nobody wants that. Sammi Jo

So sorry - there were three more martyrs that came after the five for which I had no verse.
But they have their palm of victory just the same.
Yes, Dennis, this is indeed about to be printed in my book.
Thanks for commenting.
Blessings
Elizabeth
