TrippyBright Darkness

THE PLACES WORTH CLINGING TO ARE

THE PLACES NOBODY QUITE KNOWS WHAT TO DO WITH.

STONED CURVES BRING HALLUCINATING DEATH

GAMES IN THE VAST GRAVEYARD.

BONES AND JEMS MAKE THE TREASURES

SACRED TO THE MASSES. SO SLIP INTO THE

POLYESTER, SWEAT IN THE SUMMER SUN.

MAKE WAR WITH EACH OTHER, FLY IN THE

KRYSTAL SPAN OF LA-LA LAND.

TAKE OVER THE RAGING BULL THAT MOUNTS THE

LASS. ODD SPOTS COVER HER DEVILISH BLUE DRESS

DO IT ONE MORE TIME FOR ME? I LOVE YOU.

TOUCH ME, LET DEATH SMILE UPON YOU

IN THE WAKING HOUR OF OUR PASSIONS

A PROMISE IS MADE IN THE

DUSKY FLARE. BLEEDING, WE SWEAT

FROM HEAT MADE IN THE DARK ROOM.

SECRETS TAKEN BACK FROM HATRED,

WE HOLD EACH OTHER IN WARM SCALES.

FROM THE WILD FIRE OF NIGHT. ALIVE!!!....HE CRIED.

FRIED MINDS AND SLOW BRAINS MAKE UP FOR THE

HALLUCINATED SUN THE CREEPS IN THE EAST.

NO ONE CARES FOR COMMITMENTS.

WHAT A SHAME THAT IS GOES THIS WAY. DEPART FROM

YOUR BED, WASH UP, OPEN THE GATE OF HELL, THE OUTSIDE

WORLD IS WAITING TO TAKE YOU TO STRANGE DAYS.

AWAY FROM HEAVEN, ON THE ROAD TO SIN.

It made me think about the desert and scented incense and dark rooms with candles. You are a great poet, if you put the Doors music behind your words it's like Jims'. Keep it up

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
