Emotional Pain

Contributed by Cici on Saturday, 30th November 2002 @ 08:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

When the pain inside hurts, you don't know what to do
You cry in fear, but know one listens to you
They tell you to stay calm
But all you do is self harm
You cry and cry your eyes full of fear
Yet still know one wants to hear

All you want to do is die
But surely it's better just to cry
All you want to do is go away
If someone would listen in someway

You feel you have know one to turn to
All is left is stupid, all you
You know you can't cope
And you never think you will find hope

Even small things get to you
The pressures from peers and so-called friends
All you know is that there is a hard way out
But all you want to do is scream, scream and shout

The feeling is killing you inside
You know that you want to hide
But hiding isn't going to work forever
All you wish is to be clever

You are full of mixed emotions
You have cried so much, you feel you have filled the ocean
Your mind is full of You just want to go away, what a waste

You try to put on a brave face but someone is able to put you down, hopefully someone's on your case
You try to tell someone how you feel
But they just say give it time it will heal
But I don't think it will a bit

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
