Who Am I

Topic: InspirationalPoems

Who am I?
A strong woman of pride,I search to find peace of mind. So much work to do who will balance my load? So much to learn, what else could go wrong
so many things I don't understand, how will I conduct a plan
still I believe in gods unchanging hand
my minds a battlefield, filled with clutter
feel my pain
my hurt
the lies
through it all I still seek to be wise
feel my pain
watch me break the barriers
accelerate my mind create better times
seat me on my throne, roll out the red carpet the queen is home
place down my rose pedals
for I have grown
the winds can not devour my strong tour
I trust god and his mighty power
Who am I?
I am lovely
I am happiness
I am sadness
I am forgiving
I am faithfulness
I am all that I need to be
Who am I ?
forever changing
I am a river that runs deep.extending even into the creeks
I am a mountian oh so high, feel my breeze passing by, so honest and free
I am a tree ,grab hold to my brance and take a rest
I am the organizer of my life where peace
-vs- strife never seize to fight
I am a survior, persistent in my ways
I will never give up until the end of my days
Thats me a woman of pride that holds her head up.

This is what I call, An inspirational poem. I really love it. My mother was a single mother when she had me at the tender age of 18 and struggled with me. I think if this poem was out when she had me because it would tell her to keep her head up. A good write

thank you for your comment, because its a struggle trying to make it as a single mom. It takes a strong woman to make it in this tough world.

I could relate to your poem. So well written. I too was a mother of 3 all alone, worked two jobs many times.
The first thing I learned was when I got out of bed in the morning, I already had 10 strikes against me, so had better nip everything in the bud....there's no back up for we single Moms!
Sounds like you are doing great! Keep up the good work, and never lose hope!
Warm and encouraging hugs!
loving critters

WONDERFUL POEM.
IT'S LET'S US KNOW THAT US SINGLE WOMEN WITH CHILDREN STRUGGLING CAN MAKE IT WITH THE GRACE OF GOD.

LIFE CAN BE MEAN BUT GOD CAN TURN THE BAD THINGS INTO GOOD THINGS. THANK GOD THAT HE WAS THERE FOR US. BECAUSE SOMETIMES OUR OWN FAMILIES IGNORE US OR TREAT US BAD. BUT GOD CARES, NO MATTER WHO WE ARE.

Depth within a poem very well done. I like the style and the constant reminder of Who am I. Only thing I would suggest is not pertaining to one gender but that may take away from the depth just a thought.
