Regret

Contributed by wil_ca on Saturday, 13th July 2002 @ 07:39:08 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

my love took you by suprise
i wish we coulda stayed up talking till sunrise
im dyin over those gorgeous blue eyez

But all you said to me was....we'll never be
i tried to tell you that i would always be there, but you wouldnt see
i asked for just one date, you wouldnt agree
I said, Hey, It'll be fun...i guarantee
but...not one chance you gave to me

i was sick of being your emotional outlet
so, i said good-bye and tried desperately to forget
to forget.....the day we first met....
a day I now

regret

Way too simple and the rhyming is very overdone and run together.

sometimes things work out just the way they're supposed to - call it fate, cosmic cruelty, whatever. nice write, very tender feelings and so many of us have been there, felt that kind of rejection.

peace

Time does indeed heal all wounds... but regrets linger , at least for awhile. No need to beat yourself up, if not right each would have to deal with more than regrets.
