one day I’ll say the words
that you want to hear;
someday I’ll do the things
to take away your fears

but right now I’m not there
and don’t know when I’ll be:
yet I know I’ll come around,

one day I’ll right the wrongs
that caused you so much pain,
and try to dry the tears
so no one cries again

I just can’t seem
to push away the
darker side, you see;

there will come a time
when happiness will reign,
when love and hope will rise and rise
and spread their wings again.
until I shed my chains
and be who I can be,
