[bodytext] => The name Corona sends shivers down the spines,
Embraces anybody close by; at home it confines,
Infected cough or sneeze swiftly hugs you with flu,
On a dogged mission to strangle and to choke you.

Are you the Satan rebelled, sent to the Hell by God?
Or conceived in a test tube at a lab obscure and odd,
Programmed to inhibit lungs, to suffocate the vulnerable,
Or planted by Aliens to make life on the Earth miserable?

Unabated you terrorize the world to lay at your feet,
Desolated malls, abandoned beaches, deserted street,
Shuttered homes: a draconian law all over you enforce.
Bear testimony to your evil and unrelenting brute force.

On killing spree, none you spare, thou, the malicious pathogen,
Countless coffins you nailed; soon doomed you’ll be with antigen.
Ruined the lifeline, ransacked nations, caused awful impact,
Is it a rehearsal for doomsday, are you destined to enact?

Corona, the slayer; don’t rejoice over tactful and initial victory,
The war is on; the final battle is never won by evil, in history,
Our Brave Hearts are fighting relentlessly to annihilate you,
The day is not far off, exterminated you will be, we all ensue.

I work in retail, so I see it first-hand. This situation is scary, but if we all stick together, we can get through it.

This was beautifully written - great write!
