I will remember today
and how I tried my best
to hide the pain
that never seems to fade

I live in a burning confusion
where emotional torture reigns
I have no problem with a quarantine
I like to self Isolate

when I play by the rules
they change the way the game is played
and
its a terrible lie
thinking I matter
when I am just a ghost
no reflection
nothing will remain

deeper into the matrix I fall
my face cracks
as the flesh is stripped away
I feel no sorrow
I feel nothing at all
and that is okay

digging through the dirt of my wreckage
I can smell the decay
the walls of manic depression melts
as a bittersweet symphony plays

shadows of doubts dance
severed heads whisper
softly saying my name...
I stayed awake all night
once again
tomorrow is here
the pain never really fades. [comments] => 2 [counter] => 88 [topic] => 60 [informant] => unknown_utopia [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => insomniac )
