A billion light years hurling
through a blackness we call night,
beams of a dying sun so distant that
we’ll never see it’s light,
even now are twirling,
tap dancing galaxies by scores,
we look up, what we call up
for waves that never reach our shores.
Other suns back away
blasting fast as light can go,
so their light for eternity
is a shine we’ll never know.
Yet upon this rock we say,
a Creator, just the One,
knows our every thought and deed
among ten trillion suns.
He, so feebly do we know
is male deep down in our bones
has chosen this mote of dust
as His creation’s home.
How magnificent, how grand we are,
to have this mighty God,
from among these many trillioned stars
to worship as we plod.
From birth to death
we get to praise His name
in temple’s hallowed halls,
lips in praise with every breath
until nature truly calls. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 117 [topic] => 11 [informant] => invierno [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => ChristianPoetry )

// Sometimes I think we have to die to figure everything out. We`re not as high on the totem pole as we think. Definitely not the only lights in the sky.

"There`s no end to my life,
No beginning to my death
Death is life!"

- Excerpt from Greg Lake/'/s lyrics to ELP/'/s version of Pictures at an Exhibition

We move on to the next phase and still learn.

This pile of rock is under lease and we may be getting evicted soon. Your words definitely rung a bell in me. Thank you.

Tim

How bout that
we sure do think alot of ourselves
and our maker
who spent so much time
on such a flawed thing
called humans...
from the day we are born
its all down hill we live to die
I find that to be oh so absurd
as I get older and physically crack and fall apart
(mentally too)
oh good poem
thought provoking as you can see....

How very true your are. How can anyone possibly think
and believe that everything that is could have come
about on its own without a divine plan created by the one true God. There is so much about our existence
within this infinitely vast universe that we are not meant to understand but accept on a leap of faith. Yes, God
chose this very spot in the universe to place his creation and it wasn/'/t by His hand
that we are flawed but by ours since He did give us our free will. We as humans made the choice to break the single rule that God gave us and because
of that decision we as humans had to pay the
consequences. Death is one consequence among
many. Brilliant writing as always my friend. Im glad
I chose to come back and pay a visit.

Rich

It does indeed look //planned// doesn/'/t it? I feel the intelligent planner in Nature/'/s Arms; especially so in certain places. I/'/m almost certain there are other experiments out there - whether we get to see them before this one is over is anyone/'/s guess.

Yes, his name be praised.
Blessings!
