If we made our own Christmas movie
You come to town in a bad mood with a frown
While I`m walking around, we meet somewhere in town
We hate each other right out of the gate
You know the typical movie fate
You`re here to do a merger
And screw me over
For I`m Mister Berger
As our stories unfold
Very few truths are told
When you see me
I`m yours to scold
And you by now have grown oh so cold
We later meet at a dance
In you, I become entranced
And you`re willing to give me another chance
We embrace and kiss during the last dance
We then walk the town hand in hand
Yeah you with the guy you once couldn`t stand
The next day my old flame comes to town
You happen to see us around
A mistaken kiss and embrace
All you can do is get the hell out of this place
Your bags are packed, and you`re out of here on a plane or train
All we shared was in vain
Sometimes this old world is so insane
As the days pass by, I realize how lame
Was my old flame
Time to jump on the next plane back to you
As we are both now so blue
When I get to town, I find everyone but you
What`s a poor bloke to do
As the lights go down in the city
I am the object of everyone`s pity
I walk not so far to the local bar
And throw down a few brews that taste like black tar
Not knowing what else to do
It`s time to stagger out the door
I slip and fall to the floor
Look up, and it`s you at the door
Love has found us once more
Cause it`s you I adore
Come early spring wedding bells will ring
For it`s not just another Christmas story fling [comments] => 3 [counter] => 116 [topic] => 31 [informant] => jamesstockdale [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => StoryPoetry )

Have you pitched the idea to Hollywood yet?
Could be another blockbuster in the making.
I liked it, filled me with hope at the time of year when hope should shine at its brightest

Aw man!!! I love this. I remember reading it before but I guess I get sidetracked and forget to comment. Well, here I am now and I just want to say how much I enjoyed this love story.
