with a smile and say
"let it out, i got you"

whose the one person
we all want to call
no matter what time it is
even if they are the ones
you just got off the phone with

whose your strength
just as much as they are your weakness

who never leaves your mind
no matter how much time has passed
who you have transformed into

the one who we would welcome back
into our lives
if given the chance
with open arms
a million times over and more

the one person who will forever and eternally
be in our hearts
as well as our minds

we all have that one person

the one who brings out
our best more so than our worse

who brings out
our most dangerous desires and sides

whose the one person
we all want to call

I like this poem, it is true.
everyone is true for the most part
automatically at birth,
the environment challenges them,
changes them, they seek someone they
can be with, forever, not that they are certain
what that person would be like.
the person could be completely opposite
of what they expect, could you say they grow
to love them, or do they love them immediately,
but a person grows, each individually grows
differently than the next
And love is like a knot, a way to experience
the world between two different people
who grow and grow
together over the years
each deciding that they were unbelievably
lucky as could be to be with
her, or him or any sex,
just partners, in this life
Just this richness that seems
so natural and free

For me "The One" is the one I already have
I am lucky, I realise that every day - to have a person who I am close to in every good way possible.
You are correct though, we all have, or should have, that one person who just gets us.
