as I watch birds soaring up in the sky
my scarecrow skin is raggedy but tight

I am a sin eater for love gone wrong
all the wild birds flock to me
day or night

lost souls off balance
drowning in misery
flying in circles above a damaged landscape

they come to rest on my scarecrow
and feel better right away
as the pain starts to slowly fade....

shes crashing and burning
after flying so high
free falling in pain
in a tail spin filled with dismay

flying alone
crying tears of stone
Mascara runs down her ruined face

she sense me in a field of moans
now shes ready to release all of the rage
that had her caged...

The secret-wind carries my essence
I talk from a dream
whispering
everything is beautiful
including you

wild birds fly to my sanctuary
I am the sin eater of love gone wrong
my scarecrows

Good imagery and a good choice of metaphors. I loved how you used the term "sin eater". It seemes to add an extra layer of emotion to this piece. Well penned
