Interesting, off-kilter cadence that was just right for the subject matter. Caught my attention.

Oh, Alice, you’ve done it again!

A very powerful write that says SO. MUCH. in two lines. Your words stick to the skin and can’t be shaken off easily. Well done. Love the nod to Plath. Gives me chills ... keep at it.

P.s thank you for telling me about that F.E.A.R song! I gave it a listen and it’s good. I had never heard of the song before. Kinda awesome. Thanks.

I was blue
just thinking about anything
but I loved being me
and she was my only daughter
who I watched being born
like a spark she came out of no where,
you could call her an angel
and she is an artist and a math wiz
and she like me loves to study astronomy
and physics
and she suffers from depression
and i try my best
to help
she writes, thinks she
is no good,
but that really is not the case
none of her teachers ever said
that
they all said she was gifted
we went as parents
with a group
and they were all smart
all these kids,
an odd collection -
I guess I will never know
but Grace is doing good today
she is in college living on her own
at age seventeen

she knows
what most don/'/t
and she is a good
person, a good one
another good one
that is how she classifies
things she loves
the best

Peace!

always true, someday we would all hope to be.
ah, the return of the thin white duke
throwing darts in lover/'/s eyes
here we are one magical moment, eh, such is the stuff.
from where dreams are woven.
bending sound, dredging the ocean, so lost in my circle
here I am flashing no color

once there were mountains on mountains
and once, good god, there were sun birds
with which to soar with

was there never a time
when I could never have been left down

what cannons what legal constitutions
am I one in a million, am I one in ten billion
with more to come, with each one I might suspect painted a bit
different than me -

who is calling me out,
and what could they be saying
and is am I listening
I stop and wonder
should I be

i am only me
i am only this one
