[bodytext] => Beyond the realm of might have beens,
Would bes and once upon a times,
There exists another world of not make believes
Across endless possibilities.
Just follow back the paths we took,
Back along our life lines.
Look to where we met,
Now farther.
Perhaps before we were born,
There exists a point.
Going forward now,
Turn at what will be,
Move around that twist in fate
To a decision never made.
Watch now as our paths intertwine,
Become one road,
On to the future of happily ever after.
Sighing now I shake my head.
I give a wave to the evanescent couple,
Across impossible distances and scattered maybes.
For though here and now I walk this path,
Inside I feel a shift of at ease.
Knowing that some other time,
Some special where,
There isn’t just a you or a just me,
There’s an us.

fate in parallel
like some distant
plight
to live the way things
are and not worry
so much about
uncertainty
thinking about
all those little
things that
bring folks together
because they were
true
because they shaped
the character in you
and made you
feel real
almost like you
needed to
exist
because you
do
You are filled with
trying to explain
what we all would
like to just say
something inside
of all of us
just waiting for the right
time --- and then
wondering just how.
there is an us,
in you.
I like your poem.
because it feels true.
Peace!

I like this. that sense of possibility that can sometimes grip you and give you hope... you captured it well. |

Ooh nice how you wrote this and weaved in and out of that parallel world where things happened differently. Those what ifs and should have beens always make for introspective and candid writing. Well done.
