A most polite recording, but wait, that isn’t all!

It said PLEASE LISTEN CAREFULLY; But I want to explain!
Then it told me I should know; OUR MENU HAS BEEN CHANGED.

WELL BE WITH YOU SHORTLY; WERE BUSY ON THE PHONES
Aha! You DO have humans there; (or one poor guy, alone!)

IF YOU WANT TO BLAH BLAH BLAH HERES WHAT YOU SHOULD PRESS
But to speak with a real person, wasn’t on the list.
I wonder what they’re doing while I’m going through all this?

WE DO LOTS OF OTHER THINGS—LISTEN WHILE YOU’RE WAITING!
Really? A commercial? Madly aggravating!
HAVE YOU TRIED OUR WEBSITE? ITS SIMPLE AND ITS FREE!
Did you know that Im calling cause you disconnected me?

THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE the voice was heard to say.
Patience? UGH! Your music sucks; and I am growing gray.

ALL OUR LINES ARE BUSY. THERES NOTHING WE CAN DO.
YOU’LL HAVE TO CALL BACK LATER. A SPLENIDID DAY TO YOU!

Which explains the sad remains of my computer found,
Floating in our neighbors pool, and spread across their grounds.
I did my best, to just confess before you made the scene;
But officer, I lost it, when it went to their machine. Oh boy-lol
So true and frustrating and of course funny.
Most long for a real person but often they are bigger idiots and you are better off with the recording. Great write.

As James said so well, the recordings are sometimes
more intelligible than speaking to an actual person.
Although the recording are rather frustrating they
can be less so than when a real person comes on the
line and you realize that they are in some far off land
having never experienced the sort of problem that you
are seeking advice about. Brilliantly written as always
and the ending summed it up perfectly.
