Awakened and recast;
Sweet past departs unasked.
No make believe can self deceive;
When childhood comes unmasked.

So true!!!!!
The third line is fact. A sad reality.

Reality always has a way to humble you and bring
you to your knees. The present turns to past so
quickly that as we blink we miss it. Carpe Diem is
kind of an oxymoron in the sense that how can we as
humans seize the moment when Time/'/s reflexes are
faster than ours in every way. We cant seize
something that disappears as quickly as it appears.
Liine 3 is so true. We make-believe in order to try
an escape an inevitable truth. No matter what path
you choose the destination will always remain the
same.
Such a powerful message in so few words.
Brilliant as always.

Rich
