effortlessly hanging just above the horizon
as radiant fingers paint the heavens
with the hues of an ambient spectrum

just beyond the gravitational stare
of twin dilated spheres looking expressionless
yet with an unnerving intensity
able to pierce the obscurity of space and time

where neither emotion nor reflection show
the desperation of a trapped soul reaching towards eternity
as Hell encircles Heaven; trying to strangle
a perpetual faith

encumbered by the anticipation of life
where the well trodden path and that which is less taken
have become one in the same
when with weightless touch Death takes a wayward hand and opens the final door

when the hues of an eternal sunrise return more vibrant
shining once more through the reborn eyes of a triumphant soul
taking wingless flight through technicolor ecstasy
a hundred miles from midnight

That/'/s crazy.
Makes you wonder if you thought of it or if it was put into your head. At what point do you think this up? There/'/s more to poetry than we know. Spectacular writing indeed.

Very impressive!! Go back to sleep again for us :)

Keep a journal by your bedside. When we close our eyes, we can only see within. And you have found a panorama in technicolor!

As I/'/m finding out with you, your pen is more a paintbrush.

A beautiful way of expressing a timeless concept.

You are an awesome poet, Sir!

Just like my mirror image twins Venus effect piercing my side to circle the square wave function fractal singularity colours of the rainbow collapses before your very eyes even eyes wide shut thinking thoughts see photons with waves thinking of white light, every colour of the rainbow just t like the double slit experiment going on in our heads, thinking thoughts is i think the very act of us observing that is thought to cause the wave function to collapse and seems to settle as tho it were a particle of dust that can only be observed when caught in the light just right as only envisioned through eyes wide shut see sea only love

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and it seems to have gotten your creative juices flowing. A little morning introspection at its finest. Fantastic title and great usage of it at the end.

I/'/ve already commented on this, but do so again. I like the tip to Frost. I did the same, on the same, on the same poem at some unknown point. The title hooked me, man.
Well done...again!
