I used to think love went hand in hand with hate
that sooner or later, it always suffocates
but now I know how easy it should be
I adore your every idiosyncrasy
and you always want me
I am your somebody
the place you retreat to
on your side through and through

and now I see the world has fed me lies
about the way love is supposed to be
we do not need to yell
because we are not angry
you do not frustrate me
we do not misunderstand each other
because we are not hard to understand
I do not possess you
I don’t even need you
but oh my dear, I want you
it is not difficult to be together
because we are not difficult
no, it is not hard work to love each other
because we are not hard to love

we never hurt each other
but always choose each other
you are unfailingly kind
always give me peace of mind

I always love to say hello to you
I always know that every word you say is true

The second stanza is glorious indeed!
The key is not needing....
When you love out of need it isn/'/t love, maybe greed.
That is the first step to failure.
If rent and mortgages were only $100 a month only true love birds would shack up :)
Awesome writing.

retrospective of where one comes from,
this idea of one person saying onto another
that they are totally without question
someone they adore is kind of really
cool.
It removes all the hostility, and makes one feel
profoundly lucky.
you won the lottery, and now you are rubbing it in all our faces, or, you are being earnest and saying something a lot of people should be saying.

I do mean a whole lot of people. They have eyes,
and heads, and limbs, and bicuspids,
and they are not mollusk, rigid, outer shells,

that latch onto things in the Sea,
A different place it is to live within the Sea,
where I would say, it/'/s not all for one and one for all I might add, I never heard a turtle fish write a poem
as touching as this.

Fish and Turtles are not the same.
For all the wrong reasons,
I said to my own turtle fish.

Yes, that/'/s what I call her.
My little Turtle Fish.

I/'/m her turtle dove.

the fist stanza was amazing.
the whole way you wrote this poem
feels so connecting.

It makes me think of the bark on a tree,
as if it could bark, you know, upon its own
trunk.

I love the truths in your sincere tale
of discovering that passion can be deep and peaceful.
It is hard to believe that love can be serene and
uncomplicated, but as you assure us, once you
find it, nothing else will ever take its place.

You have penned a classic. A wish for all of us
