Put them down and to rest
I think this explains it the best
Thoughts linger about in my head
Some fun, others just memories that I dread
Sometimes they remain to mislead
Sometimes just a reminder of good deeds
Everybody eventually needs rest
I only jot down the best
Go to sleep so my mind can go on a new quest
Like a litmus test
Of course, I just say this in jest
Put it on paper, save it for later
Your world will become greater

That which we can/'/t abide, we do best to set aside,
To give us time for mourning, until comes a new morning.
I like your strategy for sorting and coping with life.
Thank you for sharing such sage advice, and wishing you a swift recovery.

That first line says it all
I think this flow speaks to all poets
and the way we process thoughts

//// Excellent. No really,

E X C E L L E N T !!!!!

Additionally, I love it when I see something that was inspired by another YPDC member. That says a lot for both of you. Hmmm, somehow I think I also complimented myself but I will never admit it.

You frequently encourage me to write. I could write every day but it would not be poetry in my opinion. It would only be blogs and since there is no blog section on this site, I refrain. Maybe I should check the topics. Maybe there is something close. I do not know, still, if I would do it. I think I still have an issue with plastering blogs all over the home page. We had journal entries and I would write in those but I am petty sure they have been deactivated. I have not checked lately.

But my thoughts are all there, they just cannot come out in "poetry" fashion as easily as they did before. A poem may not be forthcoming soon.
🤷
Again, this is a great one.

Thank you,

Dugan

//// P.S. It is indeed a // great// reason to write. I love the storage analogy.
