[hometext] => Trying to figure out an interrupted dream
[bodytext] => She made a firm commitment;
Based on her convictions.
She vowed upon the bible;
To honor the restrictions.
The ceremony followed;
And all held to thier vows.
Before she gave her answer;
She stood to face the crowd.
-------------------------------------------
Tell me, was she wed or cursed?
And you can end the story.
Was she standing in a church;
Or standing for a jury?

Standing for a jury. I suppose you could swear on the Bible at a wedding but I`ve never witnessed such a wedding.
I like this, Queen Softy. Thank you!

Before a jury and at her wedding....
That is if its a southern-style shotgun wedding :))
A daddy with a shotgun is the judge and the
family and friends in the congregation are the jury.
Those of us that are married know that our vows that
we make before God and family are similar to the oath
that we take in a courtroom.
Thats my interpretation :))
Brilliant as always Jaye

I am going with wedding based on your employment (subconsciously resurrected) of the word /'/ceremony/'/. A courtroom event is known as /'/proceedings/'/, and I/'/ve no doubt your mind is aware of it, both consciously and subliminally.
Please go back to snoozy-land! I am curious what she shared when turning to face the assembly of people; either guests or attendees.
For the poem itself, you write in your admired style, and I don/'/t have to share the obvious, (but I will!), that I am a FAN!
