I am my dear, I am.

You must trust me one more time.I was wrong for lying.
Im trying love, Im trying.

I love you baby blue eyes. What more can I say?
Theyre grey, my eyes are grey.

Are you sure? Whatever...So, what have you to say?
Nothing, lover, nothing.
And she gave him clean away. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 61 [topic] => 54 [informant] => softerware [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => happypoetry )

Simple, elegant and cutting as a ginzu knife. The stanza on eyes really walloped me. Men! What effing good are they? I AM one, and I question why we are here. Is it only to make more of the same? In nature shows, it has become apparent to me that life forms exist to do three things; ight, eed and uck.

It makes me wonder why we exist at all.

As always, I find value in your poetry. You have the magical ability to transcend the mundaity of this thing we call life and infuse a solemn and mystical quality to the simplest of things. You are in short a poet of the first order, and I am so glad I am a recipient not only of your friendship, but of your flowing mind that finds form in symbols, aka, letters. When strung together, they form words, then sentences, then stanzas and emerge on the other side as poems; bits of wisdom distilled into relatable concepts that help so many people....me, enormously so.

Your admirer,

Mr. Invierno

//Gave him clean away, eh? Surprised she just didn`t end him.

Grey? Blue? Maybe it`s perspective, maybe it`s color blindness. 🤓

Whatever, I don`t know but I do know I enjoyed this

Oh no...so sad but true...
The men I know do everything today and most raise the kids. In defense of men referencing Mike, I will not even hug or kiss a female if I don/'/t like them. Women have no problem marrying the same. What is love?

I can so relate to this in such a way that I literally went
through this from 2010 to about a couple yrs ago.
In the beginning it was just trying to find a way to deal
with the pain. "Please forgive me...It was a one time
thing" Which was a lie..a one time thing that lasted for
18 months. "Im sorry for lying, she said"
I am my dear, I am trying my dear....until Im sure that
my green eyes turned grey from losing the will to care
and just going through the motions. Until I realized that
I wasnt hurting her harboring the pain as much as I
myself and the kids. So channeled it differently and
eventually let it go and come this July she and I will
be married 18yrs. One of the most difficult times in
my life bar none...and that includes my military
service.
Time helps deal but love really does do the healing.
I agree with Mike. brilliant but cuts like a razor
blade.
