Troubled by the anger with in
I’ve lost sanity again
How much beauty we waste
Trying to create perfection
The hate we build
Trying to change reflections
Visions that leave our memories behind
What wont we sell for an easy way out
Watering the lies were fed
To make it through another sleepless night
While our humanity hangs by a thread
How much blood must we shed
Till we realize just where that river runs
No more differences
We demand you’re either for or against
Uniqueness the sacrifice
It seems to be a willful consequence
Paint others the evil ones
When we’re ones who feel nothing
We’d cool the sun, to escape the burn
Then blame the darkness on the world
Simplifying tragedy
While we choke on the smoke we breathe
This toxin from the things we speak
Wake up you can’t force belief
My brother, my sister, my friend
I’d lay it all down for you
But where does that agony end
Collecting ammunition
For our tired guns
Will we stop before we’re the guilty ones
“Be damned those who don’t agree
The world must believe in what I see
And all those who stand apposed
May death be swift, and the casket closed” [comments] => 5 [counter] => 295 [topic] => 48 [informant] => welleyedo [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Amazing!
What a powerful write.
I have many of the same emotions and have grown tired of all the nonsense...
You really hit the ball out of the park here.
Top notch writing and subject matter...

Loved the way this flowed and the powerful imagery it contains
A gem of a write
It/'/s so true, too many people believe theirs it the right way, their ideals the right ones and that everyone else/'/s are inconsequential.
I guess there will never be harmony in the world as long as there is mankind

The topic choice is so accurate.

This piece is writhing with emotion. The turmoil never
appears to cease but only intensifies in the mayhem
up to that final stanza that sums up the write so
beautifully.

So final. Great writing.

A powerful inventory of the aspects that make up our dissatisfaction with the rest of the world. It reads like rolling thunder, building up to your finale, and leaves no quarter for escaping your premise.
I love the questioning nature of the write, which enhances the suppositions. This is a critical piece and you have softened it by embracing your readers.

This is powerful. I will read it more than once to help me face our apocalyptic future.
