Loose floating people
Who never get anything done
Grounded in nothing but their own ramblings
Neurotic and stuck in the sludge

I like the comforts of a misguided afternoon
Spent indulging drunken conversations and obstacles
Pushing back dreaded thoughts
About the end of the day

Slouching deeper into my seat
Simultaneously disgusted with and seeking acceptance from
Distinct groups of characters
Who speak with such clarity

Meanwhile,
A stitched-together identity
Founded in uncertainty
Barely holding together

Everywhere I turn my eyes
Everything is a mirror

The last 3 lines tied the whole piece together.
Sometimes abstract pieces flow easier than
other kinds of poems. Sometimes our best work
comes from uncertainty.
Everything is a mirror reflecting the world around
us in which we live and it has gotten to the point
where any of us that have been alive longer than a
couple of decades dont recognize the reflection we
see anymore. Great piece.

They are nuts and are driving me there. This was pretty cool and as an idiot before me said (lol) the last stanza buttoned it all up. Great write.
