I feel it pulling inside me
its claws are tearing me up from the inside out
I know you’re fine, but what about

everything I want
and everything you flaunt
while you act so **** nonchalant
and everything I need
steeped in fears I can’t feed
dig my nails in so deep ‘til I bleed

if I dress it up in pretty ribbons to see
would you keep on believing me?
or would you look hard enough to figure it out?
I say I’m fine, but what about

everything I’ve shed
and stagnant flowerbeds
nothing grows on deserted deathbeds
and tell me how you’d feel
if your Achilles heel
bled out faster than it could congeal

all I want is for this place to be my own
why won’t you just leave me alone?
I keep waiting for you to quit dragging this out
nothing changes, but what about

knowing when to go
and which towels to throw
fighting the pull of the undertow
and falling so far down
from pedestals and crowns
to churning stormclouds and dreary showdowns

now all I hear are screams of everything I’ve lost
constant reminders of the cost
‘cause you’re shoving it
you’re **** shoving it
in my face
and it’s too hard to quit
even harder to admit
so take your ghosts and go
you’re haunting me
you’re **** haunting me

It takes two....
This was very sad but we/'/ll written.
When the relationship gets real, grows old, and sours.
Very few step up and change their ways.

The daily struggles of life.. Keep writing it away!

Such poetic frustration!
Makes this reader want to jump up and shout Stand Up, Don`t take it anymore!
If only it were that simple.
