My mind fresh from the deep
Off to a world of red and blue
Where nobody has a clue
They hate that we detain them
Criticize the fences so high
Many ponder why
While others continue to lie
Our own citizens we happily abort
The truth, so happy to distort
Those that kill of their own free will
We shall protect and not neglect
We kill the innocent
House the guilty
As the truth goes on wilting
They pass another bill

This is the dark side of the moon. Our elected officials can do no right. And in the name of public service, they do not serve us.

We do lament their failings, but not to the extent that we step up with solutions.
Leadership doesn/'/t need to have answers. Martin L. King didn/'/t have a plan either...he had a dream.
Your poem is a problem looking for an answer.
And you are not alone in your frustration!

Your line " nobody has a clue " pretty much sums it up in a nutshell. Political correctness has driven political good sence completely out of the picture. A sad sad statement of fact and you said it perfectly.

Very well done.
Barkeep! A drink for my friend. Hell I/'/ll spring for two because he deserves it.

You said it perfectly. When we vote, we vote for the
lesser of two evils. In politics there is no good and
evil...not too sure if there ever was but maybe I am
just too young to remember. Very powerful and true
piece of writing my friend. I have to agree with Jaye,
this is a question that we do not have an answer to.

what is fraudulent,
what is true,
when you ask most
people,
you go up to them
yourself and say,
where did you come
from.
who me?
are you asking me?

To tell you the truth,
I am not sure.
I think I came
from speckles
of stardust

An old cloud
of wispy strands
that roamed
once within
the vacuum of
space,
and then,
my family,
hence my people
born onto this land,
or into this promise,
lost its virtue

the people/'/s will
like some mad hatter
who really cared
lost his will
if he had one
ever

which he probably
never had

even though most
of the people actually
did.

seeing that it is a practicality
in search of its own true
self.

Peace!
