We both went our separate ways
We once wore each other well
Now too sad to dwell
Time still runs on
Now we`re the forgotten ones
Our beginning became our end
Our hearts too damaged
To mend
Our words
No longer able to defend

The pain of lost love
fades way to slowly
I feel you on this flow....

I have to agree that the pain of a lost love lessens too
slowly. I can honestly say that it never fades or leaves
us. We just find the means to deal with and handle
the pain. Definitely what doesnt kill us makes us
stronger. Which stands true with the pain of loss.
You said so much with so few words. Beautiful yet
painful at the same time.
God Bless
Rich

This anniversary is a sad celebration. It reminds me that there are some people we will never forget. jYou toast them with bittersweet memories when you can no longer keep the sorrow silent.
OUR HEARTS TOO DAMAGED TO MEND says it all.
If there is such a thing as good mourning, this is it.

it/'/s ridiculous to feel that way but we are all programmed to want what we can/'/t have anymore. We write a story in our heads that only partly resembles fact. There is never any recognition of the fact that the other party has a choice. It/'/s all about the crime of loss and our innocence. It is all bollocks really. You probably weren/'/t right for each other; or circumstance made it impossible. The person who is right for you won/'/t inspire such feelings because they won/'/t be selfish.

They say time heals all wounds...
Maybe, but that wound usually leaves one hell of a scar.
I could see that scar in each and every word you penned here. That takes talent.

Very well done
Barkeep! A drink for my good friend.

That/'/s that, then. Time for a new chickadee!
