Uninspired
You`re unaware
You`re my sole desire
From afar
You I admire
Until I obtain your love
I`ll never tire
With obsessive conviction
You`re my addiction
Rather be had
Than sad
Rather be taken
Than mistaken
My heart only beats for you
This my dear is true

Love it! Short, sweet, and effective. You painted the picture perfectly and it didn’t take a manifesto to do so (pardon the unintentional in-sentence rhyme). Not to mention, Invierno is an honored writer in my book, and your emulation is splendid. Take care and God bless,

Deidra

I see you choose to follow the leaders here!
That is the adventure of writing in a group...we are welcome to try on others styles!
This swift little tale is complete and compact. You do not waste words, James.
My favorite line is RATHER BE TAKEN THAN MISTAKEN. I wonder if we should try it the other way around?

the more you venture out Jamesstockdale
the better your writing gets.
Invierno Style,
is hard to discern, I/'/ve read
his practice story, it was good,
he can write for a living one day,
but, there are a lot of people out
there who do write.
People actually go to university
to write.
Vangogh/'/s last words,
"The sadness will last forever"
the way anyone might feel,
just plain, and ordinary
the time is golden
imparted upon the soul
vibrant to the eyes appeal
one is wrong to compare
simply to compare
simply to want

Peace!
