Time and again

Contributed by HEAjunkie on Monday, 3rd September 2018 @ 08:06:26 PM in AEST
Topic: InternetLove

I wish I could be your watch

And hold hands with you

All day long.

Wake up with you, and yawn

An early-morning face

On both of us

Wish I were there

When you switch on

And log in...

See your face

When you get my mail

If you smile, if your eyes

Crinkle at the end.

I/'/d wait for you to turn to me

Through the day, to ask

It it were time, if it were time,

And I/'/d say, No and Aye.

I/'/d be there with you

Through the meetings, to know

If you tyrannise, or let them go.

And in the evening, I/'/d still be there

Holding your hand

I just wish I were your watch

And spend some time with you.

Perhaps it is wise to know that reality never matches our fertile imaginations! While you can only wish to meet your efriend, you can fictionalize to your hearts content!
If you should meet, you may lost your advantage.
Others are seldom what we want them to be, but in terms of writing poetry, they are an inspiration!
