i maybe pretty as a rose
yet i still alone on the inside
you ask about my thrones
and i ask why do you care
no matter how bright the sun shines
in my heart it is eternally dark
you ask about my tears
and i ask why must the world be so cruel
no true amount of grace or kindness
can ease this unwanting feeling in my heart
you ask are you ok
with tears in my eyes
i finally said no i am not
and then begin to cry

Life is tough, it gives no quarter and yet demands so much of us.
The lucky ones in life are those who feel no pain, yet maybe that is because they are already dead inside
Food for thought

I guess they say beauty is only skin deep.
Young, only a kitten.
the world is rife with strife no doubt.
And it does not matter so much what one looks like.
the old lady, was kind to me as a boy, she did not
take me in for how I looked, nor how good I was,
I just think she saw something positive, something
good.
who made who, talent is not the only thing
how does anybody truly define talent
anyhow.
lot of things are pretty, more than pretty,
not me, rocks, poems people write
ain/'/t pretty, they ain/'/t cruel either.
hopefully they are just true
just like all anything could ever
be.
I often cry myself. For me it has nothing
to do with being kind of ugly.
I didn/'/t know that I was.
And it never really mattered
to me, tears of gratitude.
/'/cept when I/'/m up cutting onions.
I know a good onion in the field.
I learned from this old guy, you eat
them straight from the ground.
better than the potato
kind people know of such things.
Peace!

This feeling is all too familiar. It almost feels as if your soul is fighting the goodness around you—the shining sun, a perfect summer day, etc. Beautifully tragic. Great work, God bless you,
