Just take in these words I must try to convey

I have never been completely able to cope
With the world spining around me
And I wear a mask to hide my confusion
I hide from the realities I fear to face
It's not out of rebellion or contempt
It is out of my flawed self, out of me

I will never be what I want to be
I will never be what I want to be for you
I will always try to hide my flushed face
I will always hesitate telling you my deep dark secrets
I will always try to smile brightly
Even though my walls are slowly crumbling

It's not because I don't trust you
It's not because I don't need you
It's because I can't live with myself
Can't live in sadness
Can't live in disappointment
Can't take showing more imperfection than I have to

Don't be upset at this
Just try to understand
That I try and try and try
To be more for you
To be better for you
To be only for you

And I will try to cure myself
Of these habits I possess...
But it's so hard to change
When you are so used to living like this [comments] => 2 [counter] => 170 [topic] => 48 [informant] => Adreana [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => EmotionalPoetry )

Aww this is so sad but i know how this feels all to well, keep your head up things will get better, and it is true there are things that are so hard to change, and being like this is one of them ...especially when as you stated in your poem one is so used to living like this....i enjoyed this poem keep writing your poetry is very touching.....
