Give me just one gentle lie,
Tell me things will be alright.
Give me one gentle lie,
Give me false hope to make it through tonight.
Give me one gentle lie,
Tell me we will be together until the end of time.
Give me one gentle lie,
As you gaze into my watery eyes.

Tell me I will see tomorrow's sky.

oh my, this is a teary poem.. so innocent.. you sure know how to show your love for the other person. How so many people want to hear those beautiful words.. others lying to them, yet they still want to hear those words.. believe they are truthful.. so sad .. and then after the lies, you are still alone.. being lied to .. you are alone anyway.. they are not really there.. find a wonderful person who is truthful, who will share love to you.. and you will not fear for lack of words from them because you will feel in your heart when truth is showed.. by their actions, and not so much from words. Very thought provoking poem here, a giant message to all those out there who have been lied too.. and just wanting to hear anything, for anythings sake. and then,, alone.. oh my. awful thoughts.. hugs .. never looked at a lie to be gentle.. your title softens the untruths. raquel leah..
