[hometext] => Very Personal in nature, for I am John
[bodytext] => A young boy on a journey A young boy full of hope His eyes glow of wonder And he simply does as he is told The people that surround him Put magic in his ears Thoughts that surround him And wipe away his fears No thoughts of destruction No worries to be found He simply lives his life For everyone else around Years go by and he gets older The promises are gone His eyes are void of wonder All hope went away with the dawn His friends all taunt him Always at his expence In quiet meditation Still nothing can make sense Could love really be there Or is it just a word Can life be this painful Or am I singing the absurd Life and death don't matter when Nobody cares Things begin to get desperate Then you know you were wrong But it's too late... it's always too late He goes out to a bridge And he peers o'er the edge And says why has it come to this In death will there be any bliss He closes his eyes and thinks About what his life has been He knows he has been on this brink Since the world turned it's back on him His eyes are void of anything They're cold and dark and black No longer any color there No longer a need to hold back He closes his eyes harder And goes back to his younger days Crazy John the idealist Who said love made more sense than hate He thinks now that love has left him No one really cares Death is so beautiful When it is the only thing there His agony his blessing His love his only curse And as he jumps over It is as if it were rehearsed Life and Death don't matter when Nobody cares Things begin to get desperate And then you know you were wrong But it's too late... Oh God it's too late No one came to his funeral It wasn't worth their time His parents the only mourners Until an hour had passed by The friends of his childhood Laughed when they heard How could a stupid loner Be that disturbed No one really loved him For who he really was A man before his time Who gave his life for love [comments] => 1 [counter] => 170 [topic] => 34 [informant] => poet_of_anger [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => SongLyrics )
