birds are singing
frogs are calling.
Green spreading
light spreading
world awakening.

Life is grand, simply grand.

Dimness swirls in like a tide.
The light fights back
ignoring
pushing away
always finding happiness.
Smiling through the dimness.

"I am slowly going crazy"

Wave upon wave
on the shores of my soul.
working
eroding
wearing down

crazy going slowly am I.....

you you you you you
the whole world is about
everyone but me.
sex sex sex sex sex
I abhor sex.
dull dull dull dull me
Those frogs and their
eternal noise!

Darkness surrounds
choking, squeezing
Happiness retreats
shrinking, fading

Kicking at the dark walls
that surround.
So futile.
Too thick
Too tall
Too dark

Run away
(where to?)
To be free
(To do what?)
To be me
(who the hell's that?)

Take the easy road
Stay
The easy road.
Always the easy road.
put up, put out
give give give give give
never get

The undertow is pulling
pulling pulling
Deep into the ocean
that choking, swallowing ocean.

Happiness is drowning.

writing writing writing
late at night
scribbling
Darkness pours from my fingers
spreading over a page
like spilled ink.

One last desperate kick
a wall shakes
kick kick kick kick kick

A crack in the darkness
light streams in
Hope alongside.
working
eroding
pushing away
flooding the Darkness.
Sending the tide back
to the horizon,
breathing life into Happiness.

Sunlight is shining
birds are singing
frogs are calling

Isn't life grand. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 155 [topic] => 61 [informant] => Winterland [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => selfstruggles )
