Underneath the door there is a secret
Shush now, be quiet as you go
For if you tell a soul about this secret
You'll disappear and won't be found no mo'

For people shouldn't go disturbing secrets
Secrets have a way of grabbing you
And when you get caught inside, I promise
You'll wish you had a clue just what to do

So go now, run, get out before it finds you
Run deep into the night and look no more
Forget that you were here tonight, or ever
And that you know what's underneath that door.

Carol

I like this Carol!! This reminds me of the creepy bedtime stories my brother would tell me right before sleep...lol Nice job with this, and I especially like how the 'secret' isn't revealed.

Everyone reads a poem and sees it in their minds eye. I didn't find this scary but I did find it very mysterious.

It was like being a little girl with my dad reading a story from a big book and i'm grasping the sheets waiting, waiting, waiting for what was going to happen next and before I could find out he'd say, "That's all for tonight". I'd lay there in frustration wanting to know what happened.

Loved your poem immensely.

You write astonishingly well.

Kie (Who's impressed)

I loved this poem. I took it a bit more seriously than a bedtime story, but maybe I'm wrong. You have a very unique style, and I'm intrigued.
Keep it all up.
Sincerely,
HonestInk
