Scarlet drippings lead the way
Candle drippings, wet and hot
To a faith never known
You
My shining pillar,
leaving me all alone
How this darkness scares me
It's depths
It's breath
crawling, little spiders on the nape of my neck
The bones broken and scattered
And ashes blown away.
My little grey snowflakes
Forever shunned by the perfect
Creation in cremation, death's building blocks
Down the city tumbles
Rubble left smoldering
The flames of your deep dark eyes
enchanting, reflecting
Don't show me the ugly of my soul
My pillar, my angel
Just a flicker in the wind.
The candle burns out
The turning stair case
My confusion
The snow
Cold, bitter
Touches from lips long dead
Bared teeth, skin rotted away
Exposed kernels of corn
Feeding the country
Feeding the cancer
Grow, seek out, kill
Betray the unknowing bodies
Make them brittle
Hear them rattle?
The candles of your hearts
Waxen sticks clicking together
Vile flames bite down
Gnawing away at the life that makes us
The souls that sustain us
Those that we consume and damn
Burn it up, Flames of the Eyes
Damn them all!
Damn me..I beg of you
Flicker brightly
