Caught attempting to transcend the heavens
And make it safely back to very the beginning
Back to the birthplace of each of our souls
Back to the creation, back to, before we were all born

Lectured in the novelty of thinking a place such as this exists
I have added conjecture and pounded on its door with my fist
I still stand here, I await an answer, I can hear the footsteps
Come closer my angels, take my hand, do not fear my human flesh

Do not believe what they say about us, we humans are not dangerous
Sometimes morose and morbidly opposed to breathing and such
Though unlike yourselves, we have pumping hearts, that reverse, that logic
That brings us back to the original start
To the miracle, to the human gift, exquisitely sculptured, living art

Not Opposed to Breathing

Enslaved by the angels at the gates of Eden
Caught attempting to transcend the heavens

breathtaking. the title was what drew me in, but it dose not do the poem justice. your poems amazing,beautiful,makes the reader think. great write.
