All I ever wanted was for me and her to be
All I ever wanted was to give her my love
and be her fallen angel from above
All I ever wanted was to prove to her I'd never put her through harm
and hold her all night in my arms
All I ever wanted was to be in her life
but I might as well die someone hand me a knife
All I ever wanted was to let her be my queen
and give her everything
All I ever wanted was to make her mine
and be with her until the end of time
All I ever wanted was for her to know that I care
and no matter what I'll always be there
All I ever wanted was for her to know that with me she has a home
but now she's left me all alone
Why did I ever give her my heart
because now it's just torn apart [comments] => 3 [counter] => 186 [topic] => 22 [informant] => heartbroken4ever [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => LostLove )

Fairness does not govern life and death,
if it did, no good man would ever die young.
Most of the time, the things that we want the
most are the things that we could never
have. That's just the way life is...

Very good poem. Keep writing!

-Butch
