Whether we use its potential
Or dispose of it blindly.

Our fate depends on
What we make of our surroundings
How we implement each situation.

Each person is given tools to work with
As they embark on their journey through life.
Some tools become bent and worn from use
as they take on new shapes and new possibilities.
While some become rusty from a lack of use
Because nobody is wielding its power.

But life still goes on
As our actions carve our fate.

The brave ones experiment.
Striving to accomplish
Straining for achievements
Unafraid to try what nobody else has
Not wanting to regret the past.

But there are some that willingly
Forfeit their lives
Seeking to let others wrestle their demons for them.
As they choose an easy failure
Over a sweaty success.

And still life goes on
As our actions carve our fate.

At the end of the journey
Some rejoice and exult
In what they have achieved.
While some are distraught and broken by their failure.
Because, in the end, like they were warned,

They missed out on the chance of a lifetime.
