In making this commitment,
There is no taking it all back
I gave you my word
And what good is a man without that?

I needed someone to smack me up
Punch me in the lip
So that for once, I could just sit there
And not talk, and not crack
Under the pressures of an ideal
A situation not far from being conceivably real
The bullets fly and will not yield

This has happened twice before
Where the mishap, at the bus stop
Shook glass, rumbling to the concrete floor
The shatter of the wait
Of the line the stood to board
This can’t relate
To an inconsequential
Poor excuse for a roommate
Who ate your food
And drank your wine
But would never replace
Always biting the hand that fed
A sliming hungry waist

So is this exciting?
My haunted friend mumbles to me
That she guesses so

The Doc is not in young child
Your neurosis will just have to continue to grow
Can’t it wait till Monday?
Or will the perfect idea have corroded
With the cybernetic delay
The splitting of the cell
Mitotic decay

Microscopic
Is the sum you are asked to pay
Astronomic returns
If the blue sky does by chance
Fall in our way

what a powerful write..
with no reason to the rhyme..
done with an "in your face" style
that only you can do so well-
if this poem were human..
it would grab you around the neck
and thrash you about-

wow

if people think this is about or in some referrance to haunted scorp, that is just a weird coincidence that i didn’t think of or consider as I wrote this...sorry for the confusion,. I assure you the two are not related at all.

thank you

You didn't write this for me?? Awww why not jyss....*pouts* lol j/k This is such a gritty, raw, HONEST poem....I don't think I've said 'honest' too often in reference to your scribbles, but this one is, and it's awesome. Love that positive (!) last stanza...: )

Scorp.
